Monkeys
I found a note in a journal of mine recently that says:
“Dude, if evolution is correct and the mutations occur pre-birth (The egg is before the Chicken?) then there were some monkeys that could NOT relate to their parents. Just the sudden size of mind or human consciousness would be so different? Imagine if both of your parents were animals and you were human?”
Which is a somewhat silly idea of course, and supposedly evolution was so slow so as to barely be noticeable but there were probably some discrete jumps along the line or mutations that made much bigger changes in the offspring than had been seen before.
Effectively all humans throughout all time have believed that humans are different than the animals, regardless of religion or culture or what have you; but that means that at some point some human made that leap first. Be it Adam, Manu, or some very smart chimpanzee: some “human” was the first one to say “Man, I am just not like the rest of the things. On a deep level I think it’s fair to group all things in the world into one circle that has everything in it and then another circle that just has me.”
This would raise questions about mating but I’m not really here to answer that right now. I’m not really here to answer anything right now, just to put into people’s minds the thought that somewhere in time there is a person who had the first human-conscious thought of all time. Which must have been very weird and also very lonely.
This should not be taken too seriously, I think I had that thought at a kick-back right before I fell asleep on the couch.
